  • My role as a sports coach and mentor has enabled me to gain a vast amount of experience working in collaboration with over 25 primary and secondary schools over a 5 year period with Signature sports.
  • As an external member of staff I have always taken pride in my ability to quickly build a rapport with the classes I teach and also school staff to become embedded within the environments I work in.
  • I have taught a range of sports such as football, rugby, tennis, as well as expanding my research to games and PE from around the world such as Kabaddi to promote cultural enrichment and break away from outdated physical education.
  • My ethos centres around inclusion and making PE fun and engaging for everyone. Children's ability to learn is never linear in a class of 30 students so tailoring my sessions to accommodate all abilities and needs is vital to success in this job role.
  • 5 years experience working 121 as a mentor within schools. Working with disadvantaged children to help improve school life.
  • Mentoring children with a range of SEN and physical disabilities.

This role has help me grow my understanding of the pressures to deliver an event and know that a person’s experience at that event start when they step foot on the premises, not once they are in the venue.

  • Myself and a group of students at the University of Gloucestershire raised money to fund an outreach trip to Malawi, delivering 3 weeks of workshops to the local communities. My role was to lead and deliver the coaching workshop which consisted of sharing my knowledge from my degree and experience within sports coaching. I delivered both classroom and practical sessions to people of all ages to help inspire and share my experiences of how powerful efficient coaching can be. We donated clothes and reached out to schools, church’s, sports clubs and local communities.
