Since starting at Bureau Veritas, I have gained a wide variety of scientific knowledge, which has helped in honing my work ethic and efficiency, resulting in multiple pay-rises and a promotion from process operator to laboratory technician. A recent accomplishment was being tasked with covering my team leader, and taking over his responsibilities and management of staff for the time he was off.
During my time at the Blue Strawberry Bistro for 18 months, I initially started as a pot wash and after 6 months I was promoted to Head Kitchen Porter as I had made myself a valuable member to the team taking on a more advanced role.
I have good communication skills providing articulate instruction to work effectively within a team in a fast paced environment. I have a flexible approach to tasks and can work under pressure to tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work. I am a reliable, responsible and diligent individual.
During lockdown, I took the initiative to learn some new skills. I independently taught myself to play the piano and guitar, I was very self-motivated and committed. I dedicated time every day until I was proficient at them both and was able to stay dedicated even when learning difficult to master techniques, I now can play to a fairly high standard., I have a wide circle of friends and enjoy being active including weekly gym sessions and sociable football
