Dedicated and versatile professional with a diverse range of experiences in conservation, childcare, volunteering, hospitality, and increasingly, in technology. Demonstrated a passion for environmental conservation through hands-on work in Costa Rica, contributing to turtle conservation efforts and promoting sustainable practices within local communities. Possesses quality childcare skills gained through babysitting and volunteering at a kid’s football club, fostering a fun environment for young children. Exhibited strong communication and teamwork abilities as a runner in a bistro pub, delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. Additionally, showcased acting talents through participation in school productions, displaying creativity and versatility on stage. I have honed my skill set in computer science, initially through three years of studying biology where I worked with bioinformatics technologies and DNA sequencing in genomics. This experience deepened my understanding of how computing drives innovation in biological sciences and honed my analytical and data visualization skills using R-studio. Collaborating in teams to collect, analyse, and present data further strengthened my teamwork and communication abilities in tech-driven environments. I have since completed intermediate and advanced courses in Java and Python through Codecademy and am currently advancing my knowledge in web development. These skills, alongside my growing expertise in problem-solving and time management, fuel my interest in leveraging technology to solve complex challenges. Now pursuing an MSc in Computer Science at Newcastle University, I have developed hands-on experience in Java programming, database design, and data science. In the coming months, I will expand my knowledge in software engineering, algorithm design, cybersecurity, and cloud computing, with a focus on contributing securely to modern, networked environments. My studies will also strengthen my user-focused approach through Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
