  • On January 8th, I took over MY Tititan Pearl who was undergoing her 25-year special survey at Denia Shipyard, where it was facing numerous unresolved issues and was significantly behind schedule
  • The project was in such disarray that many believed the yacht would never be ready in time for the season
  • Despite these challenges, I assembled and trained an entirely new crew, tackled the extensive list of problems, and prepared the vessel for commercial use
  • By June 2024, we achieved what seemed impossible: the yacht embarked on its first 4-week owner trip, followed by a 5-week charter in Sardinia and another 5 weeks of owner use
  • The result was a resounding success, with extremely happy charter guests and a delighted owner, marking a remarkable turnaround for the vessel and the team

  • I was initially recruited by a broker to serve as interim captain for his client’s classic motor yacht
  • However, I was quickly asked me to stay on permanently, impressed by the professional improvements I brought to the yacht’s operation
  • Built in 1987, the vessel requires extensive expertise in navigation and manoeuvring, which I have successfully managed
  • Additionally, I implemented a secure Starlink network for both guests and crew, streamlining all aspects of audio-visual systems through IPTV
  • To ensure a safe and efficient workspace, I developed and introduced functional systems that enhanced day-to-day operations
  • Over the summer, we enjoyed a highly successful Mediterranean cruising season, and I am now focused on the winter period
  • This includes creating a comprehensive budget and overseeing a prioritized work list to address the yacht’s maintenance and upgrades

  • I joined the vessel in Göcek, Turkey, and subsequently returned to Monaco Marine Shipyard in Toulon for the winter yard period
  • During this time, I have liaised with surveyors for the lightship survey and ensured all ISM documentation is up to date
  • I oversaw a crew of nine, managing day-to-day maintenance while also recruiting a new First Officer to assist with bridge operations
  • Trained first officers in operations and crew management.
  • Additionally, I coordinated an audio-visual overhaul in the main guest areas
  • Over a five-month shipyard period in Toulon, I oversaw annual surveys with Lloyd’s Register and conducted extensive testing of all mechanical equipment
  • The vessel operates as both a busy charter and private yacht
  • My responsibilities during the season was the handling of guest and broker requests, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering an exceptional experience that meets and exceeds the client’s every need.

  • I joined the vessel in Florida in the shipyard and have been overseeing major overhaul of all mechanical items on board
  • Full replacement of seals on both Jets full generator overhaul and complete Air conditioning system replacement
  • Managing 8 crew members with day-to-day duties whilst liaising with management on both an accounting and safety basis
  • I have also assisted in the purchase of a second 165ft Mangusta which is based in the Mediterranean, conducted sea trials and moved to shipyard in Genoa
  • Travelled extensively in the Bahamas and Caribbean and Exuma's
  • I have made amazing contacts and feel well connected within this area
  • Managed the vessel through the difficult period of covid 19 and had owner on board with 12 guests for 7 week trip

  • At first I was assisting the captain as the mate had to go home for a family emergency
  • This mostly consisted of day to day maintenance and owner trips and driving the 8m chase tender and directing the deckie with wash downs and other such duties
  • I then was asked if I could do relief captains duties whilst the current captain also had to deal with some private matters over the summer months

  • For 9 years I was in charge of this busy charter and private vessel, cruising in the Western Mediterranean
  • Consistently hit and exceeded charter revenue targets, regular repeat clients over the years
  • Led a team of four crew
  • Created solid links with ports and suppliers along this coast
  • Have high repeat client rate for charter year after year
  • Complete all engineering maintenance routines and am able to troubleshoot most scenarios
  • Led many yard periods and completed the process of crew interviews
  • Have established good working relationships with crew, owners and charter clients

  • Was responsible for organizing refit for owner in Benetti shipyard Livorno
  • The yacht was previously Lady Illusion
  • We changed whole interior before putting on dock express to Fort Lauderdale
  • The reason for leaving was my wife who was chief stewardess was expecting our first child and my owners friend bought Bear Market in the Mediterranean and referred me to his friend to run that instead so I was closer to home, Having had our first child

  • Responsible for 3 deck crew and day to day running of the Vessel
  • Joined in last phase of build at Varazze boat yard
  • The vessel was run to high standard and won 'Best-in-Show' at the Genoa Charter Show
  • Managed maintenance of all tenders, ran safety drills according to ISM standards and also a voluntary SMS system
  • Was the dedicated radio operator, also docking and manoeuvring the vessel when called to and led all docking and anchoring procedures
  • Led watch keeping duties and managed logs
  • The yacht cruised 3500nm from France to Greece and the surrounding Islands
  • There were 6 weeks charter and the rest was private use, finishing at the end of October where another yard period commenced

  • I served in the Capacity of Deck Cadet within the LNG fleet
  • I understudied the the vessels deck and cargo operations globally and was involved in cargo operations with shore terminals and FSRUs, gaining experience in Ballast water management, on passage cargo management using reliquification plants and GCUs, spraying and cool down operations, loading and discharging via loading arms and FRSU hoses
