I stepped up to a Senior Patient Coordinator In December 2023, since then I have been effectively managing a Team of 4 Patient Coordinators, and closely working alongside the Hospital Manager, and Clinical Team Leads. The Main Roles and Responsibilities include All the basic Patient Coordinator roles as well as, Leading by Example, Producing a Fair Monthly Rota for the team, Delivering great customer service and meeting patients’ needs and requirements, Managing the teams absence and Annual Leave Requests, Understanding importance of the CQC, Training New team members and completing first week inductions, Communicating with clinical coordinators regarding clinic changes and cancellations, Completing Weekly and Monthly audits and reports, Managing Patient Feedback and Dealing with difficult customers and assisting HM with complaints, Travelling and supporting New neighbouring site Carlisle’s set-up, Maintaining Patient Confidentiality at all times, Attending weekly Senior meetings and relaying any new policies and processes to my team, Working alongside other Seniors within the Company, conducting monthly team meetings, Completing Monthly Reviews, Probational Reviews and also Yearly Appraisals.
Some of the roles and responsibilities involved in the Patient Coordinator role include; Greeting and welcoming new and past patients to the building, handling patient files and patient information with dignity, registering new patients on arrival onto the compucare system, working with a number of software’s such as compucare and medisight, scanning docents onto the medical system, printing and sending letters to patients, making and cancelling appointments with the ability to ADHOC extra or emergency appointments, assisting patients with questions and queries, working alongside the clinical staff. Other admin roles include some such as filing, sorting and organizing patient files, discharging patients on the system and their files when at the end of their patient journey. I assisted the SPC and PCs with other jobs when available to provide help throughout the busy working day.
I worked at TK Maxx, a fast paced and global retailer, for 4 years, working my way up. From starting this job at the young age of 17, it helped me gain several transferable skills and helped sculpt me to become the person I am today. During my time of employment, I was given several opportunities and responsibilities in many different aspects of the Career. My main role over the course of this Job was managing and maintaining the Beauty and Accessories department, this included roles such as Assisting customers and helping with any queries they may have, Planning, organizing and constructing floor moves within this department, leading stock count and the markdown process, managing any new stock. I also undertake roles such as working on the cashier desk, which has provided me with excellent customer service skills. I was one of 3 trained in the store's Cash Office Money Management, providing me with impeccable money handling and time management skills. I worked both Full time, and part time alongside college courses at this Job role.
Relish being my first Job, I worked as a basic barista Assistant. I was responsible for making and handling food, including meats, making and serving both a variety of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Working at Relish at a young age allowed me to have an insight to working life and gave me a real sense of responsibility.
