The vocational training I've undertaken shows my self motivation and ability to develop independently.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, improved though communicating with the public when lifeguarding - often in stressful environments and particularly de-escalating conflicts
  • Fast learner and adaptive, displayed through my GCSE results
  • Strong work ethic, working long hours alone on building sites
  • Good team worker, through lifeguarding

Affiliations

  • My greatest passion is surfing. I have surfed from the age of around 4 years old and its provided me with endless enjoyment and acted as an introduction to my Lifeguarding career. It has also taken me around the globe in search of surf.
  • I have recently taken an interest in mechanics. Having purchased an old van I am spending most of my weekends developing a knowledge of mechanics while self learning how to fix the many problems that have arisen.
  • I have travelled for the last four years during the off-season months after lifeguarding, mainly following my passion of surfing. My travels have taken me all over Europe, Asia and the Americas These trips would be up to three months long, teaching me to stick to a budget and allowing me to engage with different cultures
