Jake Payne

Leicester,Leicestershire

Summary

Recently my full time employment came to and end as Co-op Distribution Centre closed it's doors. I am now training and studying to become a Driving Instructor.

With this big commitment in mind, a part time/temporary position would currently be suitable. I have extensive Warehouse and Driving experience along with being prepared to work flexible days and hours, subject to business needs.

Work history

Warehouseman

Co-Operative
Leicester, Leicestershire
2022.03 - 2024.02

I returned to work with Co-operative on a permanent basis.

My main duties and responsibilities were to pick and pack both manually and through our headset technology. I was also trained to load vehicles ready for distribution.

This employment came to an end via redundancy, as the Co-operative closed the Distribution Centre.

Trainee Pensions Administrator

Boolers
2021.01
  • My duties included working with consultants to ensure understanding of financial strategies
  • Being a point of contact for IFA’s, clients and more
  • Preparing correspondence such as emails and letters
  • This role encouraged me to expand my knowledge greatly on Pensions, specifically SSAS Pensions as well as gaining an understanding for legislation and regulation and the importance of them.

Co-operative
2017.01 - 2021.01
  • My main responsibilities were general warehouse duties
  • Although my position was always temporary, I was a trusted agency employee and was therefore given extra responsibilities such as completing the check in, ensuring all agency workers attend work, answer to any problems agency workers may have and to complete bookings for future dates
  • Some days over 20 workers would look to me for assistance in several ways
  • Because of this, the extra role greatly enhanced my leadership skills.

RPN Ltd
2017.01
  • My main role was to pick up and deliver parcels to couriers
  • As we were a small business, I had additional responsibilities such as customer service and admin work
  • These roles allowed me to develop my understanding of working under time constraints as well as speaking to customers in a professional manner.

FedEx
2013.01 - 2017.01
  • My roles at FedEx for the most part were warehouse duties and forklift driving under strict time constraints
  • During my time I was offered the team leader role, which I declined.
