During my time at Tesco I have experienced many aspects of operating in a large, complex and fast-paced working environment. I started on checkouts, but am now Shift Runner in charge of ensuring operational standards are met across the checkout function as a whole, including coordinating colleagues, ensuring a high level of customer service from everyone all while managing day-to-day tasks such as rotas, incident reports and keeping checkout area presentable for customers.
This experience has taught me how to make complex decisions quickly as the public expect standards to be maintained at all times.
