Work history

Warehouse Selector

Aldi
Bathgate, West Lothian
2025.06 - 2026.02
  • During my time as a Warehouse Selector at Aldi, I played a key role in ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfilment within a fast-paced environment. I utilised headset equipment to maintain precise inventory control and improve picking accuracy, consistently meeting daily performance targets by collaborating effectively with team members.
  • I prioritised health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment and carefully handled fragile items to minimise breakages during transport. By securely packing goods and reducing product damage, I contributed to smooth distribution operations and overall warehouse efficiency.
  • I also demonstrated strong multitasking abilities during peak periods, adapted quickly to changing schedules and workloads, and supported colleagues whenever needed, helping to foster a positive and productive team spirit.

Administrator

Almond Environmental
Whitburn
2023.09 - 2025.01
  • As an Asbestos Administrator at Almond Environmental, I provided essential support to the analytical and surveying teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within a highly regulated environment. My responsibilities included managing and updating project documentation, coordinating sample submissions, and preparing certificates in line with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Working closely with asbestos analysts and surveyors, I gained a solid understanding of asbestos-related processes and regulatory compliance. I was responsible for maintaining accurate records, handling sensitive data, and ensuring all administrative procedures aligned with HSE and UKAS standards.
  • This role required a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. My time at Almond Environmental helped me develop a strong foundation in environmental compliance and technical administration, while also enhancing my communication and coordination skills within a specialist sector. My tenure at Almond Environmental ended when they moved their Asbestos Laboratory to another location, the distance was incomprehensible for me to travel which left me unable to continue my employment.

Warehouse Operative

VPZ
Newbridge
2021.08 - 2023.09
  • While at VPZ, I served as a Warehouse Operative with key responsibilities in inventory management and order fulfillment for retail locations across the United Kingdom. I was responsible for organizing stock, conducting routine stock checks, and preparing shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Working within a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment, I developed strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a results-driven approach to maintaining operational efficiency. My ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines contributed to the smooth functioning of day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • The fast-paced nature of the role taught me to prioritize tasks efficiently and to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Additionally, my experience in order fulfillment, stock management, and working with logistics teams has given me a solid foundation in team coordination and meeting deadlines—skills I know would contribute to streamlined operations and effective support in any workplace environment.

Warehouse Operative

Drummonds Distribution
Armadale
2018.05 - 2020.03
  • During my tenure at Drummond's Distribution, I was responsible for managing plumbing stock and overseeing inventory control processes, contributing significantly to the efficient operation of the warehouse. In addition to my inventory management duties, I was trained and skilled in the operation of a counterbalance forklift, facilitating the smooth and safe movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Key responsibilities included monitoring stock levels, organizing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring the accuracy of records. My attention to detail and commitment to maintaining optimal inventory levels played a key role in ensuring timely deliveries and supporting the overall efficiency of the distribution process. As a certified counterbalance forklift operator, I safely handled heavy loads, optimizing warehouse operations and minimizing downtime through effective material handling.
  • Unfortunately, my role at Drummond's Distribution ended due to the unforeseen impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in a challenging economic climate and led to staff redundancies. While the circumstances were difficult, I remain grateful for the experience gained and the skills developed during my time with the company. Looking forward, I am eager to apply my expertise in inventory management and forklift operations to new opportunities and am optimistic about the prospects that lie ahead in an evolving job market.
