I began my Rugby career at age 14 and my skills allowed me to quickly work my way up through the league to the top division whilst also playing with team mates a year older than me. I was then scouted while playing for my community team and I successfully secured a position on the Scholarship programme for Leigh Leopards. Only 30 people were selected. The commitment was massive involving three training sessions per week including one at 7am in the morning all while still playing for my community team. I was successful in being selected to move up to the Academy and only 10 of the original 30 scholars were allowed through. My Rugby career has taught me discipline, fitness, time management and how to be part of a team.
I began flying at age 13 and I am working towards obtaining my Private Pilots License. I have completed all 9 theory exams and passed all my medical assessments. I have completed around 35 hours of flight time and my proudest moment was taking my first solo flight at age 16! Flying is a complex process and thorough knowledge of air plane mechanics, physics and weather systems is needed as well as learning the fine details of flying a plane.
I passed my CBT when I was 16 and I have been looking to get my first 125cc bike soon. I consistently ride trial and dirt bikes every weekend as well as help my Grandad rebuild his old BSA bikes from scratch. I also have a love for motorbike racing and I frequently attend the Isle of Man TT Race and the British Super Bike racing at Oulton park.
I have attended Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and I was awarded the majority of achievable badges and went on all the annual camps. I then joined the Royal Air force Cadets at which I was awarded the title of Leading Cadet. I went on multiple camps and shooting days with them.
I am also an accomplished skier and I enjoy the challenge of a black run. At school I represented them in ISA javelin, 100m sprint, relay and cross country and qualified for a place in the National finals.
