I am a highly passionate technician who loves to be at the coal face of technical fault finding operations, I take great care and pride of my work in this field and carry out my own CPD in this area constantly striving to become a better technician. I am always interested in new techniques or opportunities to learn and improve be that off my own back or through educational courses.

I have worked in different industries which have all had a great impact on me and my skills I feel this has helped push my knowledge base into a place where I am happy and confident to undertake technical tasks with minor supervision.

  • Digitized, modified and annotated technical data such as wiring schematics to aid myself and others when carrying out fault finding.
  • Carry out data downloads and interrogate to find causes and triggers for faults on different software (arrowvale analyer, SIBAS, Windiag2k and semvac flashloader)
  • Carried out fault diagnosis and repair at the depot and out on track.
  • Produced complex and concise analytical reports about repairs and faults.
  • Undertook commissioning of repaired systems such ACU, TCU, OTMR and HVAC to ensure correct serviceability before entering service.
  • Utilized different fault finding techniques such as half split, unit substitution, emergent problem sequence and function testing on most shifts to identify and rectify faults.

  • I started my career at SIEMENS as an Advanced Apprentice studying rolling Stock Engineering, I learned many skills from machining parts to installation of domestic and commercial electric circuits in my first year
  • I have worked on Class 185 DMU and Class 333 EMU units while working on these I have been involved with all aspects of work from A/B exams to fault finding and heavy maintenance of engines, pneumatic systems and electrical systems
  • Worked with the Fault finding team at Ardwick Depot where I found my passion for electrical diagnosis and repair
  • Inspected mechanical components to identify issues and determine proper corrective actions
  • Calibrated and maintained control systems for mechanical equipment
  • Also created a document and system to help apprentices through the qualification (this was trialed by NTAR for other cohorts)
