- I am a direct manager for 32 Libre sensor technicians. My main role is to ensure the production is continuously running on every clean room process, to ensure we meet customer demands and business needs.
- I have a strong focus on yields to ensure that we are getting the best possible product to our third-party manufacturers, before final assembly of the sensor. This is a 24-hour manufacturing facility, so I must maintain a good eye for detail and spot anything that could affect production.
- I work closely with for anything quality related, to Engineering managers, R&D scientists and multiple validation teams, to ensure all activities inside the cleanrooms are running well .
- I am expected to be involved in Continuous Improvement projects throughout the year with multiple departments including, Engineering, Facilities and Research and Development. This requires good communication skills, both listening and being vocal, in the correct environment.
- Handled staff disciplinary actions to maintain workplace standards and compliance., forecasted labour needs, coordinated interviews and selections, organised temporary staffing, and reviewed team overtime hours in alignment with budget allocation. In the past Participated in various audits across the business, covering BSI and FDA. I have been called up numerous times to give tours and speak in detail about what our product does and the manufacturing that goes into the product.
- I have 32 members of staff reporting directly to myself which has given me a lot of experience in man management, as every person is different. I must deal with every aspect of human behaviour, which could be something minor such as declining somebody’s holiday request, to resolving a dispute between personnel, to even having difficult conversations with my staff over their conduct.
- Created and maintained proactive culture, empowering team members to embody company values of achievement, integrity and accountability. Conducted monthly one-to-one conversations with staff to discuss successes, areas for improvement, and overall business performance.
- Utilised gathered information to write end-of-year reviews for staff, influencing their pay rises. Completed multiple HR training courses on effective people management and developed an understanding of key HR processes aligned with business policy and employment legislation.
