I progressed from Production Intern to Technical Producer, leading all technical production operations for a large, multi-purpose venue. Responsible for overseeing a team of sound engineers, lighting technicians and AV specialists, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality live events and productions.

Passionate about live event production and creating exceptional audience experiences through the effective integration of audio, lighting, video and staging technologies. Although Renewal operates as a church organisation, its scale and production requirements closely mirror those of a professional live events venue, delivering complex productions on a weekly basis.

Key responsibilities and achievements include:

• Leading the Production Department, managing and developing a team of technical specialists across audio, lighting and audiovisual disciplines.
• Overseeing the planning, execution and continual improvement of live productions, ensuring technical excellence and operational reliability.
• Led the technical aspect of a major auditorium upgrade project, the largest investment made at Renewal's site in over 20 years, working with industry-leading partners including Solotech.
• Managing technical infrastructure, equipment strategy, maintenance programmes and future technology planning.
• Engaged with stakeholders, suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of production projects.
• Facilitated client communication to understand and deliver technical requirements for conferences, corporate events and large-scale gatherings, aiding Renewal's commercial events business.
• Delivering events for a wide range of external organisations, including local schools, the National Health Service and Jaguar Land Rover.
