Summary

I am a qualified professional energy engineer/project manager specialising in executing complex - and often sensitive - projects from conception to completion through creative thinking and excellent communication. My background includes a range of project types, both technical and non-technical, all underpinned by delivering a person-centred approach. I attribute my career success largely to my ability to execute what I consider to be my key strengths; collaboration, coordination and communication. Critically, I enjoy working hard and problem solving to meet set objectives.

I am a highly focussed multitasker, adept at workload prioritisation by means of effective planning. I enjoy taking ownership of assigned responsibilities as demonstrated in my track record of collaborative, cross-functional teamwork within a high-pressure environment.

I have vast experience of developing and applying innovative ways to seek solutions to a range of challenges on both an individual basis and as part of various working/steering groups (from local to international levels) many of which have been introduced and yielded positive results (such as a strategic control plan, fuel poverty campaigns and householder energy efficiency initiatives).

I enjoy learning and adapting to better ways of working; reviewing and improving working practices has been a valuable application and I am committed to my own development and upskilling journey.

I am a loyal employee who enjoys taking on challenging roles that harness my interpersonal skills and I am driven to deliver high-quality service and consistent results that make a positive difference to people's lives.

Following relocation from Scotland to North East England in 2024, I used the opportunity to spend time contributing to family business ventures and took a purposeful career pause. I'm now ready to begin a fresh challenge with renewed energy and perspective.
