STEM Adviser for Girlguiding Cornwall:

I am in training to take on this role which will involve:

• creating activities to challenge the girls and introduce them to STEM
• travel to different units to run activities
• train other leaders so that they can run activities
• communicate with/receive feedback from the girls and leaders

I have applied to become a STEM Ambassador and hope that this will lead to training opportunities as well as setting up some clubs using Lego and remote control cars etc.

I am particularly interested in helping Neurodiverse students and those from challenging backgrounds.

Volunteering to help run the conference and to manage one of the larger presentation rooms.

Roles:

• Making sure that the Speaker had all that they needed.
• Meeting and greeting delegates
• Stopping people entering when the room capacity was reached and offering them alternative venues where the presentation was being live streamed
