Summary

I am a creative, committed, and dedicated worker, and have demonstrated these skills throughout my educational and professional career. I have outstanding communication skills and I can effectively work both independently and as part of a team. This has been demonstrated by successful and highly graded group projects at university, previous part-time roles, and also during my time on the Tall Ships where I was voted best overall crew member and was given responsibility for a number of roles including docking due to my ability to listen effectively, understand and follow instructions with care and attention to detail.

I am honest, reliable, and an excellent timekeeper and I have an exemplary attendance record at school, University, and in my part-time/ summer jobs. I understand the importance of gaining as much experience as possible in order to broaden my knowledge and life skills and I have worked in a variety of customer-facing roles as well as more strategic roles where my skill set has seen me promoted to roles of responsibility not usually given to seasonal workers.

I pride myself on being friendly, honest, approachable, and well-spoken and I am confident when working in diverse teams, always achieving good results. My time at university has allowed me to practice and hone these skills, along with my leadership qualities to ensure all tasks were completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

I thoroughly enjoy the challenges associated with the world of Engineering. I am a problem solver, and quick learner, and give careful consideration to how situations can be rectified quickly. I understand the importance of continual development and rise to challenges by working hard to develop my skills. For example, I have taught myself several new coding languages such as Proteus 8 professional, MATLAB, C++ programming language, C+ programming Language, Vivado- VHLD, RS logic module, and LabVIEW and developed software where necessary in order to effectively complete tasks set.
