Work History

Level 4 Apprentice Project Manager

National Highways
Birmingham, Midlands
09.2024 - Current
  • I worked full time in major projects through the design phase design (the M54-M6 Link Road Scheme), gaining experience in project management from shadowing and working with experienced team members, whilst studying for a Level 4 qualification in project management with BPP, where I will pass my PMQ.
  • I gained knowledge and skills in governance through completing month-end tasks and project control framework documents.
  • Contract management, as most of my time was spent procuring one of National Highways' biggest developing infrastructure partners while working in a small team, gave me maximum exposure to responsibilities.
  • I assisted with financial project reporting and monitoring, including month-end tasks through Power BI reporting tabs and monitoring cost forecast sheets.
  • I also helped onboard a business-wide risk management software, becoming a superuser.

Supervisor/ Sales Assistant

Go Outdoors/ JD Group
Tamworth , Staffordshire
12.2023 - 08.2024
  • I began my role at JD Group, working as a seasonal sales assistant for Tessuti, a high-end designer clothing retailer. I was then awarded a permanent role as a sales assistant following a transfer to Blacks Outdoors. The shop then grew, becoming a GO Outdoors, where I was promoted to the role of supervisor.
  • In this job role, I gained experience in conflict management, customer service, and team management. At GO Outdoors, I excelled in product knowledge as hiking and travelling are two of my favourite hobbies; this meant that I was able to pass on my experience and preferences in hiking gear to help customers begin their next adventure.
