Passionate about conservation, wildlife, and ecosystems with a strong interest in animal behavior, the Environment, and scientific research. taking A-level Biology and Geography has helped my knowledge of genetics, ecosystems, environmental change, and fieldwork techniques.
experience at the University of Exeter has helped me to develop laboratory skills such as DNA extraction, microscopy techniques, and Drosophila identification. I have also been able to gain experience in animal-care through reptile clubs, looking after fish and pets, and visiting zoos. Volunteering with children has given me opportunities to develop my communication, teamwork, patience, leadership, and confidence levels, and my part-time job as a cleaner has enabled me to learn about responsibility, organisational skills, time management, and reliability.
