· I provide emergency treatment to people in my local area.

· I am dispatched by my NHS ambulance service to certain types of medical emergency (999) calls.

· I respond to these calls in my own car to patients in their homes, workplaces, or public locations.

· A CFR call can involve anything from simply reassuring the patient until the emergency services arrive, to providing immediate emergency treatment. Above all, it’s about being there for people in my community.

· I am on-call from my home.

· Treating patients within agreed scope of practice and making referrals for advanced medical support in line with Pre-Hospital Early Warning Score as appropriate.

· Provide assistance to colleagues, Healthcare Professionals and wider emergency services where needed.

· Act in a professional manner always whilst representing Heart Medical.

· Maintain high standard of appearance, fitness for role and wear Heart Medical Uniform with pride ensuring compliance with standards of dress policy.

· Understand and follow all role relevant policies of Heart Medical.

· Responsible for ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose, clean, stocked and stored in line with Heart Medical policy.

· Always maintain patient and client confidentiality.

· Ensure, high standard of paperwork, including patient care records (PCR).

· Attend any training events as deemed appropriate by Heart Medical to maintain competency and personal development for role. Act as mentor to new members of the team as required.

To perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities, grade of post and skill and qualifications of post-holder.

· Provide first aid treatment and care for members of public at a variety of events.

· This volunteer role gave me experience at professional football matches, theatres, music festivals and big sporting events such Great North Run.

· Administering vital vaccines through Covid pandemic. I receive extensive training and assessments (observed vaccinations).

· Developed and maintained courteous and effective working relationships.

· Worked with customers to understand needs and provide excellent service.

· Learning how to recognise and respond to a medical emergency.

Healthcare professionals will also provide clinical supervision at each vaccination site to ensure safety of all patients and volunteers

• Responding from your home to our base while on-call in a timely manner, typically within 40 minutes from activation
• Driving to and from destinations in a standard B-category vehicle, such as a response car, small minibus, or non-emergency ambulance type vehicle such as a Peugeot Boxer.
• Sitting with service users during journeys to ensure both they and your colleagues are safe and feel supported.
• Determining the comfort of service users by engaging with them and building up a rapport.
• Liaising with professionals to receive and provide detailed handovers and to develop your own dynamic risk assessment prior to and during each and every journey.
• Updating patient and company specific records, such as completing a general summary of the transport, entering arrival and departure times, and documenting that cleaning has taken place.
• Taking personal responsibility for high standards of cleanliness and following all guidelines set by infection control policy.
• Carrying out daily checks of vehicle, and the reporting of any vehicle/equipment defects.

· Preparing classrooms for lessons, including setting up televisions for video presentations and sourcing books and handouts for students

· Teaching classes unassisted, especially when Teachers are ill or on leave

· Planning and delivering learning and enrichment activities, either with Teachers or independently

· Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention

· Developing specialist curricula in areas of interest

· Independent Visitor (IV) is a volunteer who visits and befriends a child or young person living in care. Children and young people in care have often experienced trauma and a lack of consistent adult relationships. The IV may be the one constant adult they have in their life.
