· I provide emergency treatment to people in my local area.

· I am dispatched by my NHS ambulance service to certain types of medical emergency (999) calls.

· I respond to these calls in my own car to patients in their homes, workplaces, or public locations.

· A CFR call can involve anything from simply reassuring the patient until the emergency services arrive, to providing immediate emergency treatment. Above all, it’s about being there for people in my community.

· I am on-call from my home.

· This volunteer role gave me experience at professional football matches, theatres, music festivals and big sporting events such Great North Run.

· Administering vital vaccines through Covid pandemic. I receive extensive training and assessments (observed vaccinations).

  • Responding from your home to our base while on-call in a timely manner, typically within 40 minutes from activation
