During the factory move I excelled and was promoting to the engineering supervisor as it was recognised that I was very good at leading the team daily and never shying away from the hard moments. My new position required me to follow a day-shift routine as this meant I had the ability to liaise with the 6 engineers ensuring everyone has the same goal.
My new role responsibility's are as follows.
In this role I mainly focused on rectifying breakdowns on the machinery ensuring to carry out the work as safe and with as little disruption to operations as possible. I have gained vast amounts of knowledge on new machinery including Gallus, Omet, ABG, Pantec, Martin, HP, Bobst, Prati.
A huge event in this role was a factory move where we moved from our Glasgow plant to a brand new facility in Cumbernauld. This meant all of the machinery had to be moved and reinstalled. This required a lot of hard work and long hours ensuring each machine was meeting the operational timescale. This move allowed me to gain a wealth of experience as I was able to work with many different specialist and take as much knowledge as possible from them.
