Jack Wright

• Worked as a postal vote opener and was tasked with opening postal votes, keeping the votes secret and not sharing any information learnt with anyone. Completed extra work to help with the election that was coming up this year such as organising boxes and badges as well as lifting ballot boxes, among other boxes and then transporting them back to the council offices.
• As a Poll Clerk assisted the Presiding officer with the set up of the polling station, ensuring all signage was displayed correctly and the erection of the polling booths and taking down the polling station, making sure the area we used was left clean after we had finished with it. Tasked with dealing with members of the public and ensuring they received their ballot paper as well as confirming their identity to make sure they were eligible to vote.
• In addition, worked as a manual assistant at the verification of the votes when all the ballot boxes were delivered to the verification venue ensuring all equipment and paperwork were distributed into the correct areas for the verification to take place.
• Furthermore, acted as a count assistant where was tasked with counting the votes that had been received on polling day and ensuring they were sorted into the correct candidates and then counted accurately to ensure a correct result was achieved.
• After the count assisted with the clearing up of the count hall and delivery of all equipment back to the council offices.
  Required also for a couple days after the end of the election to organise the confidential waste from the election, sort ballot boxes for when they were next needed and dispose of postal cards.

Employed also in all of the above jobs in 2024.

My responsibilities included, making an article for the staff extranet that encouraged the use of the junior gyms of the council, conducting research on how the social media platform threads could be used to help improve the council's social media presence, scheduling Facebook posts that helped to promote the junior gym and having to construct my own thumbnails for these posts and going out into the local area and taking photos for the council to be potentially used for their websites and social media platforms.

As well as this, I assisted in conducting filming for the chair of the council for his chair's update video which is posted on the council's website and social media.
