I am a highly innovative and versatile music producer/DJ with an incredibly unique and experimental sound, coupled with being known for an indelible crowd presence and the ability to evoke emotion across all my areas of work. I focus in seamlessly blending genres together, constantly delivering high energy crowds.
Over the past six years, I’ve had the pleasure to mix music across a wide range of events. From paid gigs in Manchester to playing at house parties simply for the enjoyment of it, I find this to be a passion that simply makes me tick. Through these experiences, I’ve developed an exceptionally innovative knowledge of track selection, seamless mixing and an ability to read different crowds, adapting to the atmosphere and energy of a space full of people. Being able to understand what people respond to and adjust accordingly is a skill I’ve found to be crucial in creating the right energy for a successful performance.
Delivering the highest possible waitoring service whilst staying composed under immense pressure at high profile events, such as Louis Vuitton and Dior
Trained and worked full time as a bartender at Brasserie Blanc in Bournemouth. I adapted to the role very quickly and picked up the spec with ease over a few weeks, developing knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine types while becoming proficient in all aspects of bar operations, from preparing the bar for service to completing accurate closing procedures. This role involved having to provide excellent customer service and staying composed under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities at once.
My role as a lifeguard involved several responsibilities. I was responsible for the health and safety of both abled and disabled people since I worked in the leisure pool and the spinal pool at Salisbury District hospital. I also had to be able to effectively communicate with children, adults and the elderly. In addition I have shown understanding that interactions with different people often require different approaches and am capable of effective leadership which was crucial when leading the rescue of a swimmer who unfortunately had a seizure in the water.
Alongside studying for my Degree in Music Production and Sound Design, I independently produce and compose experimental multi genre music for personal projects, friends and unpaid collaborative creative work. Although I am currently unpaid, my long term aim is to build a professional career within the industry as a recognised producer/DJ, with the goal of being hired for larger commercial projects in the future. Through my current degree and my own free time, I have developed strong skills in composition, sound design and mixing, resulting in the creation of music that blends genres like electronic, alternative, hip hop influences together, whilst maintaining my own artist identity. In addition I constantly explore emerging trends, underground sounds and software techniques to push creative boundaries and consequently evolve my sound.
My time spent at Atlantic Records allowed me to gain valuable insight into the music industry through experience across multiple departments. Over the course of the week I learned directly from teams within Artist & Repertoire, media, HR and wider label operations, developing an understanding of how artists are identified, developed, and marketed successfully and the responsibilities that come with it. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to speak with Co-CEO Ed Howard, who shared his industry perspectives on leading the business alongside Briony Turner, as well as his career progression from Label Manager to Co-CEO. These conversations provided me with a greater motivation to build something within the industry and ways I could go about this. Moreover, I was fortunate enough to observe and contribute to discussions surrounding potential artist signings within closed meetings. Inside these meetings, teams would evaluate artists, analyse market positioning and compare talent against existing acts. This experience only reinforced my understanding of the career path I so desperately want to follow.
