I am a high achieving and resilient First-Class Psychology graduate from the University of Huddersfield and a current Forensic Psychology master's student at Manchester Metropolitan University currently on track to graduate with a merit. I am looking to utilise my background in academia and my experience working with the general population to secure a Mental Health Support Worker position. I have gained a foundational understanding of clinical formulations, psychometric assessments and treatment models. My theoretical knowledge is combined with my four years experience working as a Barista at Starbucks coffee where I have developed the ability to remain calm under pressure, manage and diffuse public confrontations and maintain professional boundaries. I am keen to deliver high-quality, safe and compassionate person-centred care to individuals under the care of your team.
De-escalation and Communication Skills: In my four years of working directly with the general public in a fast-paced environment, I have consistently been tasked with diffusing hostile situations, customer complaints and grievances, and unpredictable behaviour calmly and patiently
