Overview

Operating in dual capacity within the PCSE MI team, focusing on analysing patient data, building reports to summarise performance against NHS led KPIs and maintaining the data warehouse that was built by the team. These tasks are completed in combination with reporting to the PCSE Data Manager as well as the Head of Patient Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting regular runs of the BAU process, the MESH inbox import process, maintaining and fixing scheduled hourly and daily jobs.
• Set up dashboards and analysed datasets using Power BI to provide better visualisations.
• Creation of ETL processes to enable reporting on new KPIs as well as creation of the PCRM script that allows AHT reporting.
• Built complex SQL scripts to extract, transform and load data into the data warehouse.
• Utilised SQL to develop database objects, including tables, views and stored procedures.
• Implemented data warehouse efforts with the use of SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Filtering and cleaning data to correct issues relating to delivered transit labels and GPs pension contributions.

Key Achievements

• Completed an end to end ETL build using SSIS, SSRS, SQL and Excel which resulted in the creation of a data capture and process system that enabled pension, drug and pharmaceutical payments to be processed more efficiently. This cut down time spent on processing these payments by approximately 60% as well as manpower costs which could be cut by roughly 50%.
• Creating brand new reporting by altering an existing import process that links our data warehouse to CRM to bring in more detailed information about employees time spent on tickets. Then building an AHT report that tracks agent activities over a selectable period of time.
• Conducted a ETL of GP details into the data warehouse. This was particularly difficult as the details are in various formats and locations over several different systems. I built script bringing all these systems together, with the correct details, which was then input into our data warehouse. The writing of a delete and update script which I scheduled as a daily job to consistently give out the latest GPs details enabled accurate reporting so the agents can contact the right individuals.

Overview

Acting in a senior role within the Medical Division, focusing on analysing internal and national A&E data to improve patient flow, reduce waiting times and increase trust efficiency; reporting to the Head of Performance and Informatics.

Key Responsibilities

• Generated weekly reports, detailing findings and advising recommendations for strategic decision making.
• Set up dashboards and analysed datasets using Power BI to provide better visualisations.
• Applied knowledge of data modelling and statistical analysis to note trends, make forecasts and draw conclusions.
• Advised junior analysts and apprentices in fortnightly SPC reporting, database (EDIS) management and navigation.
• Utilised SQL to develop database objects, including tables, views and stored procedures.
• Filtering and cleaning data to correct issues relating to diagnoses, procedures and comorbidities.

Key Achievements

• Cleansing, collating and submitting the required data for the national UEC Survey.
• Leading a project to replace a retired VTE application. Involving bringing together several different systems (EPMA, iPM, EDIS etc) through use of MS Access, SQL, JAC, SSRS, SSIS. Replacing the retired reporting, after automating data loads and subscriptions via SSIS.
• Creating a live A&E Dashboard in Power BI giving clinical staff a live view of current capacity, patient acuity levels, waiting list, triage times etc.

Overview

Working within a close knit team of 3, with the goal of assisting in the creation, implementation and production of monthly IFRS9 ECL calculations. Supplying modelling and provisioning analysis whilst simultaneously streamlining reporting processes; reporting to the Modelling Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisted in the development, implementation and maintenance of new IFRS 9 ECL/PD/LGD/EAD models with ad-hoc analysis and modelling as required.
• Reviewed and enhanced the IFRS 9 reporting and disclosure process, as well as output, to improve its efficiency.
• Undertaken reporting and analysis of key risk and control metrics and provided insight on crucial trends.
• Worked collaboratively with other Risk & Compliance team members to provide data, insight and analytical expertise on risk and control across the bank.
• Produced clean, error-free code (in SAS) in line with internal quality standards whilst updating existing code to fix problems.

Key Achievements

• Created a linear regression model, taking into account seasonality, to better understand how to change the probability of default (PD) model to improve accuracy of provisioning.
• Attaining the qualification Base Programming Specialist in SAS.
• Presented vital metrics at bimonthly meetings to key stakeholders, such as the CFO and Head of Credit Risk.
