During secondary school I completed a weeks work experience at a local care centre. Here I worked with adults who had additional needs and some of my daily tasks included:

• Offered companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness in patients.
• Encouraged social interaction for improved mental health amongst residents.
• Helped maintain a safe environment for all residents, reducing risk of falls or injuries by creating a clean environment.
• Attended social activities, improving quality of life for residents, such as skittles.
• Organised recreational activities for improved social interaction amongst residents.
