- Monitor and operate the site and utilities to maximise production
- Carry out checks and necessary procedures to ensure safe and efficient restart.
- React safely and promptly to production or plant upset
- Ensure equipment is operating well to minimise environmental impact
- Comply with all legislation, company policies, and safety procedures
- Part of the Emergency Response Team
- Conduct twice daily checks to meet process targets and adjust where necessary. If any issues arise, raise SAP notifications for defects.
- Complete a detailed, daily written and verbal handover. As well as end of trip.
- Carry out sampling onsite for analysis for processing in the lab
- Carry out pre start checks on equipment to ensure safe start up
- Carry out regular PTW, ICC and LO/LC Audits
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity and efficiency
- Regularly attend safety meetings, and familiarise myself with any updates to safety procedures. E.G SARA's and ORA's.
- Carry out regular training on and off shift to maintain competency
- Apply Mechanical Isolations, Site Visits, Gas Tests and Nitrogen Bottle Leak Tests

- Daily Tasks involved carrying out routine checks to monitor equipment and production using iSafe devices.

- Studied at North East Scotland, covering a mixture of theory and practical on Process Chemistry, Thermodynamics and Control Systems. At the end of the course was a Graded Unit, where I achieved an A.
- Studied at ASET, which covered the above, but also practical knowledge on operating and monitoring equipment, as well as managing process parameters.
- Allocated my Sponsor company, TotalEnergies in 2020 at The Shetland Gas Plant. Worked alongside my mentor as well as various members of the Operations Team to achieve my SVQ Level 7.
