As a Field Services Engineer at RACK-N-STAK, I am at the forefront of maintaining and repairing high-performance machinery, a role that fully leverages my mechanical engineering studies at the University of Central Lancashire. Our team's success in delivering exceptional service is a testament to our collective expertise and dedication.
Previously, as a Team Leader at Prefix Systems, I championed safety and operational efficiency, fostering an environment where health and safety protocols were paramount. My journey in engineering is fueled by a passion for technical precision, team collaboration, and continuous learning, aligning my academic pursuits with professional excellence.
At Prefix systems I was hired as a Production Designer, creating common and bespoke roofing structures for the UK. Shortly after working in the Production department, I became a key worker on the CNC machinery programming and maintain the equipment.
Moving onto the shop floor I managed a team operating the CNC machinery, ensuring that quotas where filled and any faults or queries my team had they would be fixed and educating team passing my knowledge down to ensure work flow was not interrupted with minimal down time.
As a sheet metal apprentice I learnt the fundamentals and key elements to the basics of fabrication and working along side a team. Working along side highly skilled fabricators, I learnt how to bend, weld, operate CNC machinery and ensure quality and precision was carried out through out all process.
Here I really honed in my passion and skill for CNC machinery and precision engineering taking on skilled jobs such and medical decontamination booths, built during Covid-19, working closely with my peers to create equipment used to help develop curse for the virus.
As the 5 years passed I help program in introduce new fully automated CNC Press Brakes. Learning and understanding automation process and the programming side of the machines.
