
While on this Aldi project on behalf of ARH for dematic I started off working in the freezer section on a conveyor install which included containment, wiring and terminating. As it was a freezer you have to know what type of cable and equipment is acceptable to use in this area which was mostly found on the eplans/schematics we was given to complete the install to a professional standard.
I then went onto work in chilled and ambient also on conveyor installs wiring containment etc.
Throughout this whole job I was able to be given drawings and to be able to work with a team underneath myself with weekly reports that had to be given to our onsite site manager.
Some examples of work that was included in this are wiring asi cables, profinets, canbus, profibus,flex cables, yy, cy, sy eg 3g1.5, 4g25 igus cable and your typical brad leads. We also wired your power side eg 4g16 for your feeds some parallel, 4g 4 for your power for your isolators which also had 4g 2.5 for your supply to the load and we also used the 4g 2.5 for our feeds to the ECC cards which we was also installing.
We was also working with instruments like pecs, reflectors, movis, vfds, distance sensors and input output units.
I was also part of a finishing team in which we went round completing snags and finishing any outstanding works on plcs.
This project I worked on was an estrella brewery which was an up and running brewery which was having ongoing improvements being made to it.
This included high level lighting install and replacements, containment ig. Ladder rack, basket, tray both high level and not. We also done board upgrades and changes, your typical socket installs and dado trunking and lighting in offices all whilst dealing with the customer being among us during some of these installs.
Plant used for the high level containment includes scissor lifters and boom lifters.
This job I was on was kier site in which they built a new maternity ward which was 6 floors high and on every floor you had wards, offices, cleaners cupboards and your hallways in which we installed trunking, tray and tube for all our routes into rooms for sockets and for lighting etc. We done all the 1st fixing and 2nd fixing for this job in accordance with the drawings we was provided with and as it was a kier job and a government project everything was done to the highest standard and in the safest way possible full ppe at all times. I particularly liked this job as it felt very rewarding knowing the work you was done was for a very good cause.
This project was a brand new hello fresh that had just been built and I was working on the conveyor install some examples of work which was included wiring, containment, terminating and making up and mounting devices, motor controllers, IO blocks, FLS and network devices . All of which in accordance with eplans/ schematics provided for the dematic install.
This particular project was an Amazon distribution across 4 floors in which I was working on behalf of sis for a vanderlande install.
While on this project some of my duties included receiving issues on the conveyors and plcs from the commissioners too much I would work along side them to resolve using the schematics and eplans. Also while on this project I partook in the install of the conveyors systems including wiring containment and terminating aswell as managing safety systems including e stops and pull cords and making sure the system is healthy for the commissioners the next morning.
