I am a dedicated senior childcare practitioner with expertise in child development and special needs support. I have developed warm and nurturing environments that foster children's growth and well-being. This has established lasting bonds with children in supporting them to reach their potential.

Experience: September 2021-current:

Senior childcare practitioner at Tops Day Nursery, Portsmouth. I have worked here for almost five years and started my career here as a level 2 apprentice before becoming a senior practitioner. During this time, I have provided 1:2:1 supervision for children with additional needs. I build strong bonds with both parents and the children to create a safe and welcoming environment for these children to feel contained and encouraged to reach their potential. I identify different strategies to support the children in communicating their needs and wants. As someone with Dyslexia I am dedicated to supporting the children to be heard and understood. I am always committed to getting the best out of not just the children but the staff around me. I have had parents ask me to apply for jobs at the school their child is going to because of the difference I have made and the relationships I have built.

Before I started at Tops I was at college and had a part-time job at Burger King for just a little over 3 years, which I enjoyed as I liked the fast pace and challenges this brought. During the last few years, I feel that I have developed and grown as a person and would like to branch out and try something new where I can learn new skills and face new challenges. I am looking for a new adventure in my working life.
