  • As a Head of Clinical Services I lead a dynamic clinical, therapy and Education team delivering safe and outstanding care at Stagenhoe Brainkind. I’ve applied for Register manager qualification; my status is currently waiting to be process and assess by CQC team. I'm responsible for clinical oversight of a MDT including Nurses, carers, Physio, OT, Practice educator …. I take overall responsibility for the effective management of all aspects of the service, ensuring the provision of the highest quality standards. I take responsibility and attending meetings with the finance team for setting and monitoring budgets. I ensure a consistently resilient, high-quality process of delivering care. As a Leader, I’m “hands on” providing guidance and support for the staff and influencing their practices and attitudes. I’m responsible for the recruitment process for the clinical team. I’m currently working towards a new induction model which will enable a tailored approach for the different staff groups. I liaise daily with Clinical Directors, Operations Manager, Site managers, Human Resources/Recruitment, Volunteer Coordinator. I constantly improve patient safety and experience by performing risk assessments and participation in quality improvement. I ensure all statutory & mandatory training for Stagenhoe is kept up to date (and ensuring others are able to attend/compliant). As Head of Clinical Services, I participate in an on-call rota and support staff in the provision of clinical care. I provide support including clinical queries and training in the use of site protocols for implementing safe delivery of the service. I lead the clinical specialty providing leadership, development, and governance in relation to the clinical area and supporting other clinicians regarding resident’s management. I'm responsible for the safe and effective use of equipment and other resources, ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and up-to-date training. I evaluate and manage untoward incidents and Datix and ensure correct investigation pathways are followed and acted upon. Having excellent communication skills has been paramount to being key liaison person to all parties involved. I have developed and maintained relationships with all relevant stakeholders and service providers including ICB’s, CQC, Safeguarding teams services, quality assurance teams, and local authority colleagues to ensure effective relationships. Lastly, I motivate, encourage and build a culture of communication, teamwork, clinical excellence. I actively support diversity in the workplace. I Take on challenging new role harnessing interpersonal skills, collaboration and problem-solving. Driven to deliver high-quality service and consistent results.
