As a Team Leader at CCEP, I am responsible for overseeing the whole of the manufacturing process including quality standards, managing high performing teams, and driving continuous improvement. Achieved 26% increase in manufacturing efficiency within 4 months and 75% reduction in waste through process optimisation and strategic improvements.
Driving Efficiency and Effectiveness
Manufacturing
- Manage the production of quality finished products to deliver performance targets and production schedules
- Ensure plan adherence and effective communication to deliver daily planned cases
- Drive performance of the team using monitoring systems and agreed management routines
- Monitor LineView status, performance indicators and actions, ensuring correct loss allocation in the system
- Effectively manage all planned and unplanned downtime events to optimize area performance and production cost
- Utilise the input and the expertise of the other departments (Engineering and QESH) to drive the production performance
- Cost control management ensuring adherence to budget and cost targets
- Drive yield performance
- Ensure regular SIC is documented and validated with clear focus and actions through people engagement and provide forward plan if operation is off-standard
- Effectively manage the use of resources (utilities, raw materials, packaging materials, labour, spare parts, etc.)
- Correct consumption and allocation of materials within the system and reconciliation
Operational Excellence
- Performance management, continuous improvement - production performance, yield, quality, safety, environment, mechanical and zonal improvement
- Apply lean manufacturing methodologies and tools such as SDCA and 3Cs improvement process in frontline pipeline
- Active involvement in OE programs
- Leading zonal improvements (mechanical, operational, GMP) using statistical data analysis, SPC and trends
- Create and encourage an engaging environment that drives a continuous improvement and high performing culture
People Management and Leadership
- Recruit, induct, train and develop the team, providing the vision, direction and support to enable them to deliver their objectives and optimise and develop their performance in accordance with corporate and site people processes
- Identify and nurture high-potential employees through talent management processes, enabling their progression into key leadership positions
- Leadership within manufacturing, personally role-modelling behaviour and own performance required to achieve the site’s objectives
- Regular one-to-one meetings, development, upskilling, performance conversations, career aspirations and support, talent management reviews
- Ensure effective cross-function and flexible working on site to ensure labour flexibility to meet fluctuations in demand, create opportunities for career paths and cost-effective labour planning
- Review, assess and positively manage the absence levels within the team
- Support and develop the performance of individual team members utilising performance management tools and techniques including resolving disputes using appropriate dispute resolution processes
Maintenance Execution
- Ensure the effective and timely completion of the maintenance plan
- Adherence to Planned Asset Care slot times and scheduled engineering maintenance to maintain 100% Asset Care Compliance
- Efficient labour utilization and planned downtime adherence
QESH
Quality Assurance
- Ensure on-line quality checks are carried out in accordance with quality testing standards to ensure product specification is met at all times
- Complete non-conformances in a timely manner
- Comply with frozen stock procedure, investigate failures and provide forward plan for improvement
- Complete area tours and internal audits and ensure the area is always at audit ready standard
Environment
- Lead incident management investigations to ensure there is no risk to products and people, and incorporate learning into future practices
- Ensure health, safety and environment risk assessment processes are carried out in accordance with site and corporate standards to protect products and employees
- Ensure waste is segregated in line with site policy
- Control energy usage in area and highlight potential savings
Health and Safety
- Follow site safety best practices to ensure safe-working environment to demonstrate zero accident behaviour
- Complete documented safety conversations and hazard forms, action eliminating risks, escalate and close any incidents via Integrum Management Systems
