I have joined the team in the absence of the current Team Manager and took over his responsibilities for the team, managing and guiding Team Leaders and have focused on delivering the team and the company goals:

Replenishment and work standards

  • Implementing the correct ways of doing the team's day-to-day routines and the right procedures, such as sorting out the food wastage/milk topping up for the shopping/empty cages racking away + worked on meeting the morning shift expectations
  • Following up with the Team Leaders on the performance and importance of consistency + easy wins

Simpler Shops project - last big steps

  • Implementing and refining last big steps for the team in compliance with the Partnership's regulations and needs
  • Effectively implementing it according to the branch needs

Partners capability training sheet

  • Worked on Partners cross-training and updating the training sheet accordingly

Partner training and rotas

  • I took over the responsibility for Partners doing their training in due time and their personal work goals
  • I was making the rotas for the shifts and was in charge of allocating and approving Partners holidays + sickness absence follow up

Goldsworth Park ambient rebalance project

  • I was in charge, together with Team Manager Steve Dalton in the ambient rebalance project and its execution/implementation
  • I was balancing the rebalance team and worked with their leader to make sure everything was done up to the standard and seamlessly whilst still focusing on our team achieving all the necessary night shift goals, at the same time and in the same place

Failed picking report

  • I was working on investigating the failed picking in the branch to find what causes the biggest impact.
  • As the result, we brought down failed Pick With Stock to consistently below 3% ( when I came in it was 4-5% minimum), and the Partners who would miss the most stock would miss on average 3x less stock
  • Amount of missed stock to pick by the whole team reduced to whole team brought down up to 5 items, with most of times not missing a single item
