My current role is a Sundry Debt Officer, this role involves the collecting of former tenancy arrears , court costs arrears and rechargeable repairs . This is done within the companies collection procedures, . This is done by processing letters , which are then sent via letter or email to customers.
I will also update the computer system with accurate records of what has been sent and how it has been sent.
I will also compile excel spreadsheets with data to work from.
I also undertake training with any new members of the rent team , this will involve preparing the training and booking an appointment with them , during this I will explain my role and document that everything is understood, this information is then passed to their manager.
I will also resolve customer queries, this will involve investigating with other departments either via email, phone calls or face to face . This information will then be compiled and my findings, feedback to the customer or management.
During team meetings I have lead the meetings and also taken minutes these are then wrote up and passed to the team. These meetings can be all together or via teams.
My main duty was to take calls from customers regarding their rent arrears. During the call i would explain where the debt had come from and if possible in my remit I would set up a suitable payment plan . I would then update computer system with all information from the phone call.
During my time in this role , I helped set up working parties for best practice groups for the organisation this involved me leading meetings and taken minutes , this meetings involved managers , this information would then be feed back to senior managers and directors.
During this role I also dealt with accounts where people had purchased their properties and had to pay a service charge, this sometimes involved talking to solicitors about cases.

My time keeping is excellent, and will prioritise work so I can meet deadlines
I like to plan my work with great detail and not afraid to ask other for help
I have used excel and word in my current role and also outside work
