I have plenty of experience in the hospitality industry. My current full time role is working as an assistant manager at a speciality ice cream/coffee shop in south west London. Making coffee has been something I've really enjoyed doing and I've now had 2+ years experience doing so. The management side of the job has also been good learning. Our team is roughly 10-15 members strong and I have helped train a number of these employees, as well as managed them on a daily basis. I'm responsible for all the ordering and stock takes, along with the all the other tasks associated with managing a coffee shop.
Every job I have had has been hands-on. As a print assistant, whilst working at WBC and also in my current role, it is long days on your feet, focusing for long periods of time. It's a skill I've learned to develop and manage.
I am a very dynamic worker, open to working on different tasks that test different skill-sets. I spent 3 months working as the assistant chef for my current employers when they needed someone. I also have a drivers license and I frequently carry out deliveries to the each of their shops and to wholesale clients.
I am dependable and an efficient manager of time which is essential in any job, and I have proven this at all my jobs. I also have a very strong desire to learn when I feel as though I don't have the skill set required to be as effective as others.
Also proficient in the creative industry, I often carry out freelance photography & videography work for clubs, small businesses, and events. On a small scale, I have learnt how to run a freelance operation, working with local gyms, public speakers, physiotherapists, nightclubs and many other types of businesses. These jobs have moulded my self belief and are certainly transferrable into the hospitality and management world.
