I'm an ambitious, hard-working person. I think I'm exceptionally reliable as I've had hardly any absence in the last 10 years! I've been driving for over 25 years and have never had any issues with the authorities. I'm very cautious on the road and am able to operate a truck safely even under the pressure of limitations of driving hours. I'm very experienced in driving articulated vehicles both on road and inside the factory environment, where there's a lot of personal and vehicular movement around. Skilled flight caterer with experience in the aviation industry. Familiar with the food and beverage standards of leading airlines operating in the UK as well as driving class 2 vehicles inside an airfield.
Extensive experience operating large vehicles in diverse environments, fostering confidence in task completion while effectively leading a team of loaders.
I have 5 and a half years of experience with the City of Edinburgh Council in the Waste & Recycling department, where I have currently worked as a Driver Crew Leader (DCL). In this role, I was responsible not only for the safe operation of the vehicle but also for leading my crew and ensuring routes are completed efficiently and in line with service standards.
Over the years, I have gained broad experience driving DAF, Mercedes, and Dennis rigid vehicles of different sizes and configurations in both busy city centre traffic and rural areas. I am skilled in collecting and managing a wide range of waste streams, including landfill, dried mixed recycling (DMR), food waste, garden waste, and glass, from both individual households and communal bins.
Alpha LSG Sky Chefs (now DNATA) is one of the leading in-flight catering companies worldwide. Delivering high-quality in-flight food and beverage is the main goal of our everyday operations. As a driver-caterer, I was responsible for the food and beverage stored in carts as it complies with food health and safety regulations as well as safe loading and unloading of my class two rigid vehicle. As part of the operation, I drove my truck and crew into airside through safety post operated by Edinburgh Airport Management. When delivering all food and equipment to an airline, I had to work with other airline suppliers such as baggage handlers, fuelers, ambulifts. As I was in direct contact with our clients, I represented my company, therefore a high level of communication and providing relevant paperwork was essentially important part of my job.
I've been working as a self‑employed private tutor, teaching English for Hungarian nationals as a second language and physics.
I was working as a class 1 driver in a closed factory environment. I had to pick up underwater oil pipes from the ships and deliver them to the plants where they got coated. When they were ready, my team delivered them back to the ships. I was in charge of the safety of the load and managed to work accident-free until the contract ended. I learned to reverse confidently in very
tight plant environment with abnormal loads.
My main role was to fill shelves in the store, to keep them tidy and stock‑control.
I was working as an agency driver. The agency that is based in Falkirk sent me to work for John Mitchell in Grangemouth. My responsibilities included the vehicle checks, picking up containers from the docks and deliver it to Livingston.
