Assisting the Senior Geotechnical Engineer in providing the geotechnical input to all underground (Sublevel open stoping with narrow vein and wide ore body) operating procedures to ensure the safety of both people and property,
Managed geotechnical research and analysis,
Geotechnical data collection (rock mass & structural logging) & mapped any geotechnical anomalies and issue instructions necessary to ensure the safety of people and excavations,
Monitoring and controlling rock engineering activities, plan, prioritize and coordinate operational strata control tasks and activities, supervise the strata control process, develop quality controls to ensure alignment with standardization requirements, policies, procedures and operating standards, and identify production compromising conditions, defect and improve opportunities,
Providing services and support related to underground fall of ground accident and incident investigations, identifying changes in the production environment, defects and safety risks and providing input into the development of safety standards, processes, policies and procedures,
Providing coaching and advice to operational stakeholders aligned to best practices, resolve or escalate operational rock engineering related queries or breakdowns declared, and liaise with Mining personnel to assist with pro-active or re-active measures related to short-term layouts, implementation, auditing and planning,
Build and update the mining rock mass model (MRMM) with drill holes and mapping data for stope stability and ground support evaluation,
Update the life of mine stress model by using MAP3D to identify the risk related to the production sequences and put actions in place for safe production sequences ,
Adequate Raise bore design and geotechnical assessment related,
Adequate pillar design and geotechnical assessment related via ( Phase2)
Adequate geotechnical structural analysis with Dips and Unwedge for ground support purpose,
Managing underground seismicity with trigger 3D (IMS software) and uses mxrap to condition wireframe to MAP3D, damage Mapping.
Ground support budgeting to align with the mine plan and for life of mine design,
Hydro-geological monitoring & water profile update ,
Monitored, assessed, evaluated and trained engineers.
