During my time as a volunteer i helped my uncle raise money for a charity during the month of Ramadan. We would go to different mosques across London during this month and help raise money and give out leaflets to people. By the end of the month we managed to raise around 8k in donations.

Being a volunteer drastically improved my social confidence and skills since i was able to talk to people and explain what the charity was raising money for.

Summary of what i done as a volunteer:

• Fundraised and managed financial resources to support charitable initiatives.
• Participated in fundraising events to raise funds for volunteer programmes and initiatives.
• Distributed leaflets and helped raise money for the charity.

During my time at elephant removals I would help my colleagues lift heavy stuff and load the customers stuff into a van where we would drive to the designated location.

The stuff we would lift up ranged from a different variety of stuff such as Furniture and boxes which could either be heavy or light.

There would be times when me and my colleagues would have to unload or load the customers stuff as well.

Overall, my time at Elephant Removals was very good and well paid.

Summary of what I done as a removal worker:

• Loaded heavy furniture onto removal vans using safe manual lifting techniques.
• Packaged fragile and valuable goods with additional care, minimising risk.
• Worked collaboratively to lift and manoeuvre bulky items.

During my time at Battersea art centre I learn a numerous set off skills, I built up my confidence, communication skills, time management and creativity.

I would go in 2x a week (Wednesday and Saturday) to work on my own project and to develop it to a good standard where I would then present it to 5 people at the end of the deadline, who would then fund me £2000 to actually set up my project and get it running.

Overall, i enjoyed my time and it was a eye opener for me.

As of now, I am in college learning many different skills in different trades, I've learnt the basic fundamentals of: Construction, Electrician, Plumbing, Carpentry and I also do other add on such as, painting and tiling.

I plan to progress my knowledge in this field by doing a level 2 course for next year.

During my time i manage to improve in many skills, i've improved my:

-Listening abilities
