- Growing up on a working farm and alongside horses has been a major influence on my life and work ethic. From an early age, I was involved in all aspects of farming, including livestock care, crop management, and machinery operation, giving me a strong, practical understanding of agricultural life. At the same time, I grew up deeply involved with horses, developing skills in stable management, daily care, handling, and riding. These experiences taught me the importance of commitment, responsibility, teamwork and attention to detail. Working with both farm animals and horses has strengthened my ability to stay clam under pressure, solve problems practically, and manage physical, outdoor work to a high standard. This upbringing has given me a deep passion for the agriculture and equine industries, which I am continuing to develop through my HNC Agriculture at SRUC.
