Summary

I am a motivated, reliable, and creative individual with experience in mentoring, theatre production, community volunteering, and collaborative project work. I enjoy working with people, take pride in being organised and approachable, and thrive in environments where I can contribute as part of a team while taking initiative when needed. Through roles in education, live theatre, and community events, I have developed strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Alongside my professional experience, I have a passion for the creative arts. I sing, play both guitar and piano, and am a member of a competitive music group, which has strengthened my confidence, discipline, and ability to perform under pressure. I am always eager to learn, embrace new challenges, and bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and creative mindset to every opportunity.

Work History

Community event volunteer

Thurrock Council
03.2025 - Current
  • Volunteered at a range of community charity events, supporting with event setup and pack down, ushering attendees, running activity and information stalls, and conducting surveys to gather feedback. Worked closely with event organisers to ensure activities ran smoothly while providing a welcoming and helpful experience for visitors. Developed strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and organisational skills through working in busy, public-facing environments.

Student Mentor

The national saturday club
02.2025 - Current
  • As a former student of the National Saturday Film Club, I now work as a Student Mentor, supporting tutors with planning and delivering creative film workshops for young people. My role includes helping with lesson planning and activities, setting up and tidying away before and after sessions, completing administrative tasks, and making sure the day runs smoothly. I also provide pastoral support to the children by offering encouragement, building their confidence, and helping to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable to participate. Working closely with both staff and students has strengthened my communication, teamwork, organisation, and leadership skills.

Backstage work experience

National Theatre
01.2025 - 06.2025
  • Completed a six-month backstage work experience programme at the National Theatre, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of theatre production roles. Throughout the programme, I worked in areas including personal assistant support, set design, wardrobe, props, directing, research, administration, and communications, developing a broad understanding of how productions are managed from behind the scenes. I later specialised in lighting and sound, assisting with the technical delivery of performances and learning how to operate as part of a fast-paced production team. The programme strengthened my teamwork, organisation, problem-solving, communication, and technical skills while giving me valuable insight into the collaborative nature of professional theatre.
