Customer Demand, Insights and Analysis Manager

  • I lead an analytical team of 7 analysts to provide reporting and do deep dives to all of Customer Services (USD, MPS, and Customer Support), engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including senior leaders in and outside of Customer Services and managing competing priorities.
  • Carry out complex analysis to qualitatively and quantitatively understand the needs and challenges of YBS customers in various parts of their customer journey, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Data lead for Customer Services, working with the data directorate to expand my team's skill and data access, enabling them to carry out more complex analysis using a range of data sources and move to a self-serve data model.

Forecasting and Insights Manager

  • Led an analytical team of 2 data scientists and 6 analysts, and owned the planning inputs for ~16,000 engineers, delivering ~4 million GBP by increasing the accuracy of an SQL-based forecasting system by utilizing Machine Learning (Python).
  • Created complex models for scenario risk analysis, used by senior stakeholders, up to CEO level, to make critical decisions and mitigate the impact of risks to the business.
  • Led the creation of a new forecasting model, using SQL, to support the expansion of new fibre products.

Data Scientist Strategic Forecasting

  • Improved complex SQL based forecasting system Jupiter (multivariate linear regression model running daily which predicts Openreach's repair work by day and geographic areas by using historic trends and weather forecasts).
  • Owned forecasting system end-to-end including data extraction from suppliers, maintenance and governance of Oracle SQL Schema and inputting of model outputs to Neural net based planning system.
  • End-to-end delivery of a new forecasting model in R (with embedded SQL) for FTTP desk teams to support the expansion of new fibre products, working with stakeholders across functions to develop and deploy the model.
