Having worked as a sales assistant from June 2024 to June 2025, I gained incredibly valuable, hands-on experience in this unique and specialized market. My role included greeting the customers, assessing their preferences, and providing them with recommendations that aligned with their tastes and requirements. From the actual sales process, my strongest communication skills developed together with the capacity to build a rapport of trust with clients. My knowledge of oud ideas and types increased, along with the awareness of the cultural undertones behind them, all of which created an appreciation for the product and optimized selling skills.
My responsibilities during this year included stock control, decorating merchandise displays, and taking transactions efficiently and accurately. I handled customer queries and complaints, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This position enhanced my organizational skills and deepened my understanding of the value patience and attentiveness have when delivering customer service. Overall, working in the oud perfume business gave me growth in the sales area and ability to operate successfully with a wide variety of clients.
