I am a confident, friendly and reliable individual, all of which are qualities that have enabled me to thrive in customer facing roles. Previous colleagues have characterised me as being extremely hard working when it comes to achieving the best possible outcome for the workplace environment, its staff and its customers. 2 years as a barista as well as my summer work at McDonalds have illustrated my skills in thriving under pressure and working in a team-orientated environment.
Working at McDonalds over the summer has allowed me to appreciate and experience the importance of fast service but equally, quality service. Through this experience gained, I have learnt to maintain high energy levels and outstanding communication skills when communicating with hundreds, possibly thousands of people per day.
As a Barista, I gained transferable skills that can be used in any customer facing role. Confidence, quality service (always with a smile) and teamwork. From opening jobs to closing, I have throughly enjoyed serving customers and gaining experience with both making drinks as well as high quality food.
