Isabel Hooker

For my work experience in high school, I chose to work at a stables. This experience shows off my hard working and determined manor with the large amount of labour that came with the job. Starting at 8 and finishing at 3. In my work experience I :

• Cleared paddocks and maintained fencing.
• Fed, groomed numbers of horses.
• Raked, mucked and swept stables.
• Cleaned and repaired training equipment and vehicles.
• Oversaw water and feed supply levels.
• Prepared food for horses.
• Maintained fields with identifying and removing certain plants poisonous to horses.
• Maintained the yard with cleaning stables, the walkways and pads.
• Worked with leading horses in and out of stables and fields with instructions from my boss.
• Worked in a team, meaning I have experience of work in a group.

• A previous job I have had in the past was working solo with certain jobs of assisting the making and creating of delivery orders at Howard Nurseries. Some of the skills and experiences I gained from this job was :
• Effectively used tools to clean up and maintain areas.
• Planted new trees and trimmed branches from existing ones, using hand tools.
• Ensured high quality finish throughout tasks for excellent customer satisfaction levels, when creating packaging for plants to be delivered in.
• Boxed and made packaging for the supplies to be shipped.
• Worked solo, meaning experience with working independently.
• Created packaging with working through large amounts of materials to be paper shredded and sorted for the next step of delivery of the orders.
