Dedicated and passionate individual with experience in planning and delivering both digital and face-to-face interventions, including CBT-based and goal-oriented approaches. I have efficiently managed my own caseload, ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
I have successfully planned, organised, facilitated, and led projects aimed at enhancing involvement in mental health services, reducing stigma, and raising awareness. My experience includes delivering workshops and interventions in schools, leading classes, and facilitating group discussions to foster open conversations about mental health.
I am skilled at building and maintaining positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals, working collaboratively with other services to develop impactful projects. I am committed to maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures while proactively managing crisis situations.
My passion lies in promoting the well-being, confidence, and self-esteem of children and young people, supporting them to reach their full potential through compassionate and effective mental health support.
Currently, I am a Children and Young People Support Worker at Hertfordshire Mind Network. I support children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing through 1:1 sessions, groups, instant messaging and workshops.
Throughout this role, I have managed a high caseload of young people from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs including neurodiversity, adverse childhood experiences and vulnerable children.
During my time working at Vicki's Child Minding, I cared for children between the ages of 0-9 years and ensured their social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs were met through play, teaching, changing and feeding.
When studying for my Health and Social Care diploma, I completed a two week work placement at an SEN secondary school. Following the completion of the two weeks, I continued volunteering once a week at the school, supporting year 7 and 8 pupils with their classwork and emotional wellbeing through 1:1 and group support.
