I am a creative, enthusiastic person who works well with people. I have experience working with children and young people and enjoy community work. Due to my history in hospitality, I am good at working under pressure, multi-tasking, and working in a team. I am empathetic and patient and hold myself to a high standard.
I Volunteered at the summer activity days at Kingspark school, providing support to children with additional needs/ disabilities. Allowing them to play and choose how they want to spend their time. I often work in a pair with another volunteer/ Bernardo's employee.
I volunteer with school holiday activity days, working with groups and individuals. Some sessions I am paired with a child (often working in a pair) and provide one on one attention, with awareness to any struggles the child may face. Other activity days I work with groups of children, often doing activities such as arts and crafts and sports, such as football.
I volunteer at the botanic gardens playful gardens, helping run activities for children and families in Dundee.
I was a camp counsellor for 20 kids aged 8-10.
I supervised meals and bedtimes, and was also
responsible for helping them get ready for the day.
Provided emotional support as many of them felt homesick or had disagreements with the other children.
I was responsible for a small group on trip days and am experienced with dealing with allergies and medical conditions, such as asthma.
I also worked as a lifeguard and water sports specialist at the summer camp for children aged 8-16.

Soft play- overlooking children's birthday parties, patrolling the soft play and making sure the kids are safe and everyone is following the rules. Keeping the place clean.
Kiosk/ shepherds hut- scooping ice-cream and serving hot drinks, as well as limited hot foods like hot dogs.
kitchen- making sandwiches, kids lunch boxes, dishes, sorting stock.
I worked in Santa's Grotto. I greeted guests and kept the kids occupied while they waited to see Santa.
I kept a cheerful, chatty attitude and enjoyed speaking to the families.
I handled money and worked the camera.
Our team of elves did quiet nights for kids with learning difficulties and autism. I completed training in preparation for this and I feel this experience further improved my customer service skills and ability to understand children.
