I provided exceptional customer service in a more high-end restaurant environment than I had worked in before.

This role included executing closing duties, including thorough cleaning and restocking, to prepare for next day’s operations.

Whilst working solo shifts at the sauna, I was responsible for chopping wood and lighting the fire so that it was hot enough by the time the first customers arrived, while also ensuring the fire kept a steady temperature and did not go out before the end of the shift.

I greeted customers and explained to them how everything worked and confidently answered any queries. I calmly assisted with customers who sometimes felt too hot, making sure their safety and well-being was my top priority.

I also undertook transactions and was in charge of cleaning the inside/outside of the sauna to maintain hygiene, putting the fire out and packing/locking up.

I worked as part of a team in a busy bar and restaurant, keeping calm in what was often a highly pressured and stressful environment - especially in peak tourist season.

Responsibilities included serving drinks, making coffees and cocktails, waitressing, opening and closing the bar and ensuring smooth communication between front and back of house.

I built and positioned nesting boxes to help enable baby turtles to hatch safely.

I worked calmly on solo shifts serving ice cream during peak tourist season in a popular village holiday destination with extremely long queues, while still greeting customers warmly and offering other products for people with dietary requirements.

I handled cash transactions smoothly and was also responsible for opening the shop in the mornings.

I helped children with reading and homework activities and played games with them to reduce time spent playing on screens. I provided a safe and calming environment during stressful situations or when children missed their parents.

I helped organise bread and pizza takeaway orders to hundreds of customers each day, while working solo on front of house.

I greeted all customers with a friendly smile and showcased new products to increase sales while also dealing with any potential queries or complaints responsibly and professionally.
