Accomplishments

LAW MIND WORK EXPERIENCE

LAW SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM – AUGUST 2024

A week in August spent expanding my interest and future career aspiration in Law. Meeting solicitors and barristers that specialize in an array of different legal fields; environmental, corporate, medical etc. Visiting some of London’s most prestigious law firms, as well as local soliciting firms. Experienced a live court case hosted in The Old Baily Criminal Court, a case following the Terrorism Act 2006 being violated.

STUDENT VOICE CAMPAIGN, THE PURBECK SCHOOL

2025

I used my role as house captain to support younger students by encouraging open conversations about their school experiences. I gathered feedback on areas like bullying, gender dynamics, facilities, and teaching, helping highlight where improvements could be made to student well-being.

BOLD VOICES WORKSHOP, THE PURBECK SCHOOL

2023/2024/2025

Bold Voices is a social enterprise dedicated to empowering young people to recognize and tackle gender inequality and gender-based violence through educational initiatives. I developed strong communication skills by engaging younger students at my school in thoughtful discussions around gender inequality and gender-based violence. This involved encouraging open dialogue and helping them feel comfortable exploring complex and often sensitive topics.

Community Volunteering

Planet Purbeck Youth Group

Group member and organizer DEC 2022- AUG 2023

One of my most distinct memories in this club was helping in organizing our ‘DUNE FEST’ 2023, a community event hosted in partnership with the National Trust. Assisted with coordinating logistics, liaising with companies and attendees, and ensuring the event ran smoothly. The event received lots of media coverage and collected over 100 attendees.

National Trust- Work Experience/Volunteering

February 2024

Assisted with environmental conservation efforts, including installing wooden barriers to protect the dunes from the public. I contributed to habitat restoration by helping dig a new pond. Participated in assemblies and site meetings to discuss and plan future improvement projects

Leadership

The Purbeck School Leadership Team: House Captain

 2024/2025

This role involved organizing and assisting in school events; sports day, non-school uniform days, ‘Show Racism the red card’, lower school readers etc. I was assigned my own ‘house’ group and worked alongside 3 other house captains who also had their own school house groups. Liaising with lower school year group tutors and teachers to ensure success of hosted events or wellbeing of students. Occasionally, I would work 1 to 1 with lower year students who may have struggled with behaviour and/or academic problems, my goal was to help these students get back on track with their studies and to develop a positive school mental state.
