A motivated and caring individual with a strong interest in working with children and supporting others. My long-term goal is to become a paediatric nurse. I am currently seeking opportunities that will help me develop skills and gain experience for this future career.
I have volunteered in a busy restaurant where I learned how to communicate effectively, work well in a team, and provide excellent customer service. I have also taken leadership roles in church, assisting with organisation and group activities, and I was an active member of an anti-discrimination club at school, where we advocated for fairness and inclusion.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and have a natural interest in child development. I understand how important it is to be patient, flexible, and supportive, especially with toddlers and young children. I am confident in speaking to people, solving problems, and helping to create friendly, welcoming environments. I am also very organised and manage time efficiently.
Getting a job at this stage will help me grow, learn how the workplace operates, and develop real-life skills such as responsibility, teamwork, and communication, all of which are crucial for becoming a great healthcare professional in the future.
In year 9, I contributed to a collaborative article published in partnership with Manchester University to commemorate Black History Month. It was an eight-month program that challenged me to develop my writing, research, and collaboration skills. It was a valuable experience that deepened my understanding of cultural history while improving my ability to work on long-term projects.
