  • I work as a bra fitter, which involves selecting suitable bras for women while also working in a fast-paced environment. This involves dealing with many different requests and requirements, and ensuring that customers receive exactly what they are looking for. I also have to assist women who may be in vulnerable situations, which has further developed my customer service skills. In addition to this, I have to manage stock and file things away quickly and efficiently.

  • I resumed my previous role after going home for the summer between my first and second years of university. While my job role was the same, I was also able to start training new starters and organising staff on the shift.

Due to this role being in a restaurant and a hotel, I was able to further develop my front-of-house skills. While working in the restaurant, I had to take orders effectively and deal with busy periods, while communicating with other team members and the kitchen. I also worked on the front desk occasionally, helping with bookkeeping for bookings, booking excursions for customers, and checking people in and out of the hotel while taking payments effectively.

  • I had to deal with large bookings of people, keep them organised to ensure that they had a good experience, while also communicating with the rest of the team. I also had to explain certain rules and health and safety regulations to customers due to people drinking while in the venue, in order to keep people safe. In addition, I learned to do an effective close down for both Front of House and the Bar.

  • I had to keep really effective timekeeping due to all of my shifts starting at 5am, which allowed me to manage my time very effectively and display high levels of due diligence within my role.
