I'm a hard-working individual with a passion for photography and creating content. I can work well within a team or individually and strive to produce high quality pieces of work. I'm a reliable person and can manage my time to fit within project restrictions. I have a keen attention to detail which helps maintain a level of high-quality work. I am also able to communicate well with others and I'm an organized person which leads to consistency in my final pieces.
I attended this event to gain more live photography experience and expand my portfolio in the motorsport space. I came across this event through my involvement in the motorsport community online. I was able to plan my day to maximise the opportunities to capture the highlights of the events schedule. This shows I am able to manage my time efficiently and organize my day in the most productive way. My photos were featured on one of the performing teams Instagram account - team maximum lock which showed images from behind the scenes in the paddock before and after their performance in the live arena.
I went to the formula one exhibition with an interest in capturing formula one cars in close proximity. This provided an opportunity to photograph the details of the cars using different angles and focal length to achieve the desired outcome. It was an invaluable experience to further my skills of photographing the often unseen details.
I attended a concert at SWX in Bristol to see a band called Goodkid. I took my camera with me and had the opportunity to photograph the band and their opener - Dutch Criminal Record. This experience taught me a lot about working in spaces with low light and different colour lighting. Capturing fast moving subjects in challenging lighting conditions shows my ability to adapt to my environment under pressure. After the show I posted my images on my online portfolio and they were seen by Dutch Criminal Record who contacted me to ask for permission to use some of my photos on their social media accounts. This demonstrates the quality of the work I produce.
At the 2024 British Grand Prix I was able to capture images of high speed vehicles using a variety of techniques. Changing my position relative to the track to capture interesting and unique perspectives and to practice techniques such as panning. The varying conditions on the day required me to change my settings and react quickly to capture the desired effect. I feel that opportunities like this have allowed me to become more adaptable to the environment I am working in. After the event I was able to prioritise my workload to allow me to quickly edit and upload the images to my portfolio soon after the event.
